How We Can Help

Who We Are

Since 1989, Asure Test has been helping owner-operators and employers implement drug and alcohol testing programs and policies that are compliant with state and federal regulations. When changes to those regulations occur, we let our clients know what the changes are and automatically make any necessary adjustments to their programs to ensure compliance is maintained.

Membership in our consortium includes a one-on-one review of your current drug and alcohol testing program, paperless electronic test ordering and tracking1, access to our nationwide clinic network, 24/7 access to your account via our secure web portal, computer generated random selections of employees, assistance with the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse, and a copy of our guide entitled I Don’t Have Time For This!

We know you have many options when it comes to consortiums and third-party administrators, that's why we strive to provide our clients with dependable, dedicated, and professional services and staff year after year.

Drug and Alcohol Testing

The Department of Transportation and their various agencies, as well as the Office of Drug and Alcohol Policy and Compliance require employers that they have regulatory authority over, to perform drug screens of covered employees in certain situations. Asure Test can help you determine who and when an employee should be tested and can help get the testing completed, and with access to our large clinic network, you will be able to perform any of the required tests practically anywhere in the United States. As required by law, all drug tests you perform with us include a review by our Medical Review Officer.

If your regulatory agency requires breath alcohol testing as well, we have you covered. Breath alcohol testing performed by certified Breath Alcohol Technicians is also available nationwide.

Don't forget: If you have unregulated employees such as office personnel, mechanics, or laborers that you would also like to test, we can help there too. We can even advise you on your specific state requirements for unregulated drug and alcohol testing programs.

DOT Required Education

We offer educational packages which are designed to be presented by your company's designated employee representative or a member of your safety team. These packages include employee handouts that meet the requirements for employee drug and alcohol education.

In addition to the handouts, here's what's included in the different education packages:

Complete Education Package for Employers
  • One hour drug abuse supervisor training program package (DVD)
  • One hour alcohol abuse supervisor training program package (CD)
  • Drug and alcohol education manual
Complete Education Package for Owner-Operators

Our Owner-Operator education contains a condensed version of the drug and alcohol education manual.

This package meets the requirements for owner-operators, but not for employers. If you are just starting out, and you have intentions of hiring additional safety sensitive employees, and depending on your situation, you may want to opt for the employer education package instead.

Asure Test provides all of our clients with a copy of the I Don’t Have Time For This! guide, however, the guide does not meet any education or training requirements. If you have specific questions about our educational programs, manuals, DVDs, or CDs please let us know!

In addition to individual testing for the US Coast Guard, we can also provide employers that are regulated by the US Coast Guard with:

  • USCG random drug testing programs
  • USCG required drug and alcohol training materials
  • Drug and alcohol policies written specifically for your company
  • Renewal of your USCG Pilot's license
10 Reasons Why Our Customers Love Us

1. Very competitive pricing

Our testing fees include everything, so you don't have to worry about paying more for a test for any reason. If you find a different C/TPA service that offers the same service for less, we would love to know!

2. Rapid turnaround of test results

Most drug test results are reported in 24-48 hours.

3. Convenient collection sites

Our collection site network is massive! We have a network of over 10,000 collection sites in the United States and Canada that are available to our customers. If there's a problem at any of our collection sites, we will take care of it, so you don't have to.

On-site collections are also available for companies who prefer to have their collections done at their workplace or a job location.

4. Guaranteed collection accuracy

You will never be charged for improperly collected drug screen specimens rejected by the laboratory or for corrections made to tests due to collection site errors.

We take a personal interest in our clients by reviewing each test result we receive for compliance with federal and state requirements. Occasionally collection sites make mistakes which can result in delayed or incorrectly reported test results. With many other consortia, when a test is performed the consortium files the result and associated paperwork in the client's file and moves on, regardless of if the result is correct or not. During safety audits and inspections with regulatory agencies, improperly completed tests can result in fines or if the errors are numerous and egregious it could result in the loss of operating authority. These "technicalities" are what we look for and is something we strive to prevent. If it does occur though, we do everything we can to correct them without any charge to you.

5. No hidden costs

We won't surprise you with the fees that other consortiums like to charge.

Everything needed to perform a drug or alcohol screen, including the kits, chain-of-custody forms, shipping containers, and postage, are sent to your clinic or your company free of charge. If you prefer electronic test orders, those are free as well. You are billed only for drug tests you perform, and only those that are free of uncorrectable errors.

6. 24/7 Online access to your account

Using a computer or mobile device you can manage your account online 24 hours a day wherever you are.

7. Electronic ordering

With electronic ordering, you can create, modify, and track testing orders for your employees 24 hours a day.

Don't like using electronic ordering, or you just prefer to use paper chain of custody forms, that's okay too! You can order testing any way you like.

8. Experience

With years of experience our knowledge of federal and state drug and alcohol testing regulations is vast. We constantly update, verify, and review our procedures to make sure we are providing the best, most accurate service possible.

Our staff has attended drug testing seminars and conferences all over the United States. We are in regular contact with federal and state inspectors and officials to review questions, interpretations, and procedures. Part of our service is to provide help with your day-to-day questions regarding your drug and alcohol testing program. If something comes up and we don't have an answer immediately, we will use our connections to help find the answer for you.

9. Free audit and inspection assistance

Need an MIS report? Have you misplaced your progress report or your statistical summary report? Need a copy of a result from 3 years ago? We can help you with all of the drug and alcohol testing information and documentation that a federal or state inspector might request. We never charge for assistance with inspections, it's just another way we help our clients when they need it.

10. Guaranteed random selections

We utilize a computer program written in-house that is specifically designed to generate random selections that meet federal and state requirements. We monitor access to this software very closely to be sure that random selections are not tampered with and remain accurate.

1. Not all locations are able to accept electronic orders. In those cases, paper testing forms will still be required for testing.

No federal or state agency, including any US DOT agency, certifies or approves testing programs provided by any C/TPA. Asure Test follows all regulations when administering services.
